Dear Student/Parent,

I want to inform you of a very special event coming up in May in which may have extreme importance in your student’s spiritual walk with Christ. The “Impact" Weekend will be held on Friday, May 16th – Sunday, May 18th. This weekend will be a first for our youth here at Graham Bible Church and we will be going all out to make this an unforgettable one. This weekend will be dedicated to the study of 1 Timothy 4:12, and what it has to teach us all in the area of following Christ.

Your students know the rules. Don’t drink. Don’t have sex. Don’t say that. Don’t date non-Christians. So why do they still do them? In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul explains to Timothy and other young people why five key areas of behavior are important: in order to be an example to other people. This four-session study will focus on three areas mentioned in 1 Timothy 4:12: life, love, and faith. It has been designed to take a different approach, going beyond the familiar lists of do’s and do not’s and instead focusing on why these areas are so important to the life of those seeking to be people of impact.

I personally want to encourage and invite you to attend “Impact” this year and invite as many of your friends as possible. This will be an entire weekend of Fun/games, Music, Food, Teaching Sessions, Mission opportunity, and BBQ and picnic at Fireman’s Park on Sunday (football, ultimate Frisbee, and whatever else comes with picnicking). The cost of this event will be $5, (helps with cost of T-shirts) however, money should never be an issue. If this is hard for you to come by just contact me and let me know and I will take care of the rest.
